Today's Food Prices March 03 in East Java: Bird's Eye Chili Rises, Onion Falls

Several food commodity prices in East Java today were observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the Ministry of Trade's Basic Needs Market Monitoring System (SP2KP Kemendag) on Tuesday (March 3, 2026) at 18:05 WIB, out of 16 commodities, 5 commodities increased and 5 decreased.

Commodities that experienced price increases are large red chili, red bird's eye chili, shallots, curly red chili, and broiler chicken meat.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as bulk palm cooking oil, bulk granulated sugar, Honan garlic, premium packaged palm cooking oil, and broiler chicken eggs decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red bird's eye chili had the highest increase of Rp2,026 (2.49%) to Rp83,513 per kg. Meanwhile, Honan garlic had the sharpest decrease of Rp98 (0.32%) to Rp30,745 per kg.

5. Honan Garlic: Rp30,745 per kg (down 0.32%)
6. Curly Red Chili: Rp30,518 per kg (up 1.45%)
7. Broiler Chicken Eggs: Rp29,535 per kg (down 0.28%)
8. Large Red Chili: Rp27,842 per kg (up 0.03%)
9. Premium Packaged Palm Cooking Oil: Rp20,133 per liter (down 0.01%)
10. Bulk Palm Cooking Oil: Rp17,909 per liter (down 0.08%)
