West Java Food Price Update Today: Fish Prices Up, Corn Prices Down (Saturday, November 18, 2023)

Food prices in West Java today are observed to be higher than yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Saturday, November 18, 2023, at 09:29 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 12 commodities increased and 8 commodities decreased.

Milkfish prices surged the highest at 6.7% or Rp2,490, reaching Rp39,660 per kg.

Next, bulk wheat flour and garlic bulb prices increased by 4.61% or Rp490 to Rp11,120 per kg and 4.2% or Rp1,450 to Rp35,950 per kg, respectively.

The price of packaged wheat flour (non-bulk) increased by Rp430 or 3.32% to Rp13,370 per kg, the price of skipjack tuna increased by Rp910 or 2.44% to Rp38,200 per kg, and the price of bulk cooking oil increased by Rp340 or 2.27% to Rp15,290 per liter.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as farmer-level corn, broiler chicken, medium rice, and curly red chilies decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of farmer-level corn decreased by 6.06% or Rp370 to Rp5,740 per kg, the lowest price decrease today in West Java.

The price of broiler chicken was recorded at Rp35,170 per kg, down 1.65%, the price of medium rice decreased to Rp12,470 per kg from Rp12,560 per kg, and the price of curly red chilies decreased by Rp340 to Rp71,060 per kg.
