Red Chili Pepper Prices in East Kalimantan Highest in the Nation (Tuesday, May 28, 2024)

The National Strategic Food Price Information Center recorded an average daily price of red chili peppers (per kg) in modern markets across several provinces at Rp 82,950 per kg, as of Tuesday, May 28, 2024. Overall, the average this week decreased compared to the previous week's average of Rp 87,895 per kg.

The daily price of red chili peppers in modern markets in East Kalimantan was the highest in Indonesia, with a selling price of Rp 159,900 per kg. Compared to a month ago, the price of red chili peppers in this province is higher. Previously, it was recorded at Rp 64,900 per kg.

Meanwhile, in modern markets in West Kalimantan, the price of red chili peppers was sold at Rp 125,000 per kg, making it the second most expensive in the country.

Then, in third place, the price of red chili peppers in East Nusa Tenggara was Rp 119,900 per kg, Bangka Belitung Islands Rp 113,950 per kg, and Riau Rp 110,700 per kg.

Meanwhile, there are 16 provinces with red chili pepper sales below the national average. The three provinces with the lowest selling prices for red chili peppers are Bali, South Sumatra, and West Sulawesi.
