South Sumatra Food Price Update Today: Egg Prices Rise, Chili Prices Fall (Friday, March 1, 2024)

The prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Friday (1/3/2024) at 14.27 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 7 commodities increased and 11 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include chicken eggs, garlic bulbs, bulk cooking oil, mackerel fish, and packaged wheat flour (non-bulk).

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as premium rice, medium rice, milkfish, red chilies, and pure beef have decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of chicken eggs increased the most by Rp330 (1.15%) to Rp29,130 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of red chilies decreased the least by Rp3,030 (3.94%) to Rp73,880 per kg.
