Food, Beverage, and Tobacco Prices in Dumai City Decreased by 0.83% in April

The prices of components contributing to non-alcoholic beverage inflation in Dumai City in April decreased by 0.83%. This figure is lower than the previous month's 0.17%. Among the eight inflation groups measured in this region, the food, beverage, and tobacco group contributed -1.47% to the region's inflation.

The Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) reported that the consumer price index (CPI) for food, beverages, and tobacco in Dumai City was at 101.34 in April 2024, lower than the previous month's 102.19.

Compared to the same month last year, food, beverage, and tobacco inflation has decreased by 7.35% (year-on-year/YoY). Compared to the beginning of the year, the prices of components contributing to inflation in Dumai City have experienced a growth of -0.45% (year-to-date/YTD).

Based on BPS survey data for April 2024, these 11 inflation groups ranked eighth compared to other subgroups.
