Latest Food Prices in South Sumatra: Chili Up, Salt Down (Friday, March 29, 2024)

The prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on the national food agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Friday (29/3/2024) at 12.27 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 15 commodities increased and 3 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include mackerel, medium-grain rice, garlic bulbs, shallots, and skipjack tuna.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as pure beef, milkfish, and iodized fine salt decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The commodity with the highest price increase was red chilies, up Rp1,340 (3.2%) to Rp43,280 per kg. The commodity with the lowest price decrease was milkfish, down Rp410 (1.52%) to Rp26,600 per kg.
