Today's Food Prices in West Sumatra: Buffalo Meat and Red Chili Prices Drop

Prices of several food commodities in West Sumatra today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

According to data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Saturday (November 15, 2025) at 08:01 AM WIB, out of 24 commodities, 9 commodities increased and 15 commodities decreased.

Commodities with price increases include mackerel, consumption salt, Minyakita, bulk cooking oil, and medium rice.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as shallots, premium rice, packaged cooking oil, packaged wheat flour, and skipjack tuna decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Broiler chicken meat saw the highest increase of Rp4,105 (11.2%) to Rp40,762 per kg. The price of fresh local buffalo meat experienced the deepest drop of Rp144,444 (100.0%) to Rp0 per kg.

8. Minyakita: Rp17,556 per liter (up 1.37%)
9. Bulk Cooking Oil: Rp16,700 per liter (up 5.32%)
10. Consumption Salt: Rp16,000 per kg (up 3.6%)
