Sumatera Selatan Food Prices Today: Chicken Prices Up, Onion Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra today are observed to be lower than yesterday's.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Monday (5/8/2024) at 13:43 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 6 commodities increased and 7 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price are mackerel, broiler chicken, milkfish, SPHP rice, and garlic cloves.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as iodized fine salt, chicken eggs, red chilies, bulk cooking oil, and shallots decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Milkfish prices surged the highest by Rp960 (3.59%) to Rp27,710 per kg. Shallot prices fell the most sharply by Rp530 (2.06%) to Rp25,250 per kg.
