South Sumatra Food Price Update Today: Chili Prices Rise, Wheat Flour Prices Fall (Friday, December 15, 2023)

The prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra today are observed to be lower than yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Friday (15/12/2023) at 08.50 WIB, out of 19 commodities, 8 commodities increased and 11 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include milkfish, red chilies, bulk wheat flour, curly red chilies, and simple packaged cooking oil.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), dry soybean (import), medium rice, fine iodized salt, and garlic cloves decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Curly red chilies saw the highest price increase of Rp9,340 (11.85%) to Rp88,190 per kg. The price of packaged wheat flour (non-bulk) decreased the most, by Rp680 (5.18%) to Rp12,450 per kg.

6. Red Onions: Rp32,360 per kg (down 3.72%)
7. Milkfish: Rp29,930 per kg (up 5.02%)
8. Broiler Chicken: Rp29,710 per kg (down 1.85%)
9. Skipjack Tuna: Rp29,450 per kg (up 3.81%)
10. Broiler Chicken Eggs: Rp26,660 per kg (down 0.19%)
11. Granulated Sugar: Rp17,240 per kg (up 1.77%)
12. Simple Packaged Cooking Oil: Rp16,000 per liter (up 0.57%)
13. Bulk Cooking Oil: Rp14,790 per liter (up 4.08%)
14. Premium Rice: Rp14,320 per kg (down 0.9%)
