Latest Food Prices in Central Java: Red Chili Prices Up, Bird''s Eye Chili Prices Down

Prices of several food commodities in Central Java today are observed to be lower compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Tuesday (2/9/2025) at 2:08 PM WIB, out of 25 commodities, 7 commodities increased and 16 commodities decreased.

Commodities with price increases include broiler eggs, mackerel, large red chili, curly red chili, and broiler chicken meat.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as premium rice, bird''s eye chili, bulk wheat flour, Minyakita cooking oil, and skipjack tuna decreased compared to yesterday''s prices.

Curly red chili commodity recorded the highest increase of Rp814 (2.63%) to Rp31,754 per kg. Meanwhile, bird''s eye chili prices experienced the sharpest decline of Rp835 (3.07%) to Rp26,380 per kg.
