Food Prices Today (Jan 30) in West Sumatra: Egg and Red Chili Prices Drop

Prices of several food commodities in West Sumatra today were observed to decrease compared to yesterday.

According to data from the Ministry of Trade's Basic Needs Market Monitoring System (SP2KP Kemendag) on Friday (Jan 30, 2026) at 17.18 WIB, out of 16 commodities, 1 commodity increased and 5 decreased.

The only commodity with an increased price was bulk palm cooking oil.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as red bird's eye chili, broiler eggs, Honan garlic, shallots, and red curly chili decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Bulk palm cooking oil increased the most by Rp250 (1.43%) to Rp17,719 per liter. Shallot prices saw the deepest drop of Rp194 (0.58%) to Rp33,250 per kg.
