Food Prices in Central Java Saturday (20/9): Onion Prices Up, Red Chili Down

Prices of several food commodities in Central Java today were observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

According to data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Saturday (September 20, 2025) at 14.28 WIB, out of 25 commodities, 11 commodities saw price increases and 11 commodities saw decreases.

Commodities with price increases include dried soybean seeds (imported), garlic bulbs, packaged cooking oil, consumption salt, and broiler chicken meat.

Meanwhile, prices for several commodities such as Minyakita cooking oil, premium rice, red bird''s eye chili, large red chili, and packaged wheat flour decreased compared to yesterday''s prices.

Garlic bulbs saw the highest price increase of Rp641 (1.98%) to Rp32,983 per kg. Meanwhile, curly red chili prices experienced the sharpest decrease of Rp1,037 (1.94%) to Rp52,469 per kg.
