Bali's Daily Food Prices: Salt Up, Chilies Down

The prices of several food commodities in Bali today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Thursday (8/8/2024) at 09.34 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 9 commodities increased and 12 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include premium rice, milkfish, Indian mackerel, fine iodized salt, and shallots.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as red chilies, simple packaged cooking oil, chicken eggs, medium rice, and garlic cloves decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Dry soybean (import) commodities surged the highest at Rp1,190 (10.74%) to Rp12,270 per kg. The price of skipjack tuna decreased the most sharply by Rp2,340 (9.16%) to Rp23,210 per kg.

7. Curly Red Chilies: Rp34,760 per kg (down 0.4%)
8. Chicken Eggs: Rp25,930 per kg (down 4.03%)
9. Skipjack Tuna: Rp23,210 per kg (down 9.16%)
10. Shallots: Rp22,360 per kg (up 1.18%)
11. Granulated Sugar: Rp17,240 per kg (down 0.52%)
12. Simple Packaged Cooking Oil: Rp17,230 per liter (down 1.94%)
