Sumatera Selatan Food Prices on Monday (August 12th): Beef and Onion Prices Drop

The prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Monday (12/8/2024) at 13.43 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 9 commodities increased and 12 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include wheat flour (bulk), red chilies, SPHP rice, broiler chicken, and medium rice.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as premium rice, milkfish, pure beef, skipjack tuna, and dry soybean (import) decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The commodity with the highest price increase was livestock-level corn, up by Rp120 (2.08%) to Rp5,890 per kg. The sharpest price decrease was red onion, down by Rp760 (3.02%) to Rp24,370 per kg.
