Indonesia's Daily Food Prices: Chili Prices Up, Beef Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in Indonesia today are observed to be higher compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Friday (26/4/2024) at 15.31 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 14 commodities increased in price and 4 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include chicken eggs, skipjack tuna, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), granulated sugar, and dry soybean (import).

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as shallots, pure beef, bulk wheat flour, and milkfish decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of curly red chilies saw the highest increase, jumping by Rp620 (1.45%) to Rp43,380 per kg. The price of pure beef saw the lowest decrease, dropping by Rp520 (0.38%) to Rp135,870 per kg.
