Red Chili Prices in North Sumatra Highest in Indonesia (Tuesday, June 25, 2024)

The National Strategic Food Price Information Center recorded an average daily price of large red chilies (per kg) in modern markets in several provinces reaching Rp 105,120 per kg, data as of Tuesday, June 25, 2024. Overall, the average this week increased compared to the previous week's average of Rp 102,800 per kg.

The daily price of large red chilies in North Sumatra's modern markets was the most expensive in Indonesia, with a selling price of Rp 155,000 per kg. Compared to a month ago, the price of large red chilies in this province is higher. Previously, it was recorded at Rp 86,900 per kg.

Meanwhile, in East Nusa Tenggara's modern markets, large red chilies were sold at Rp 149,900 per kg, making it the second most expensive in the country.

Then, in third place, the price of large red chilies in Papua was Rp 145,000 per kg, Jambi Rp 139,900 per kg, and West Kalimantan Rp 135,000 per kg.

Meanwhile, there are 13 provinces with large red chili sales below the national average. The three provinces with the lowest selling prices for large red chilies are West Nusa Tenggara, South Sulawesi, and West Sulawesi.
