Latest Food Prices in West Sumatra: Egg, Sugar, and Rice Prices Drop

The prices of several food commodities in West Sumatra today are observed to be lower than yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Saturday (14/9/2024) at 09.58 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 10 commodities increased in price and 11 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), shallots, red chilies, mackerel fish, and farmer-level corn.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as milkfish, SPHP rice, granulated sugar, bulk cooking oil, and fine iodized salt decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Mackerel fish experienced the highest price increase of Rp6,710 (17.73%) to Rp44,550 per kg. Red chili peppers saw the sharpest price drop of Rp11,140 (21.03%) to Rp41,830 per kg.

7. Broiler Chicken Meat: Rp34,010 per kg (up 2.13%)
8. Milkfish: Rp30,000 per kg (down 9.64%)
9. Broiler Chicken Eggs: Rp28,180 per kg (down 2.15%)
10. Shallots: Rp19,770 per kg (up 0.87%)
11. Granulated Sugar: Rp17,940 per kg (down 0.22%)
12. Simple Packaged Cooking Oil: Rp17,870 per liter (up 0.17%)
