Latest Food Prices in South Sumatra: Chili, Oil, and Rice Prices Increase

Prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Monday (2/12/2024) at 09:49 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 11 commodities increased and 8 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include iodized fine salt, skipjack tuna, broiler chicken meat, medium-quality rice (SPHP), and premium rice.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as dry soybean (import), shallots, chicken eggs, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), and milkfish decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of curly red chilies increased the most, by Rp2,410 (9.67%) to Rp27,340 per kg. The price of mackerel decreased the most sharply, by Rp1,000 (2.98%) to Rp32,600 per kg.
