Food Prices in East Java Friday (25/7): Onion Prices Rise, Chili Prices Fall

Prices of several food commodities in East Java today were observed to increase compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Friday (July 25, 2025) at 08:57 AM WIB, out of 23 commodities, 15 commodities increased and 8 commodities decreased.

Commodities with price increases include broiler eggs, consumption salt, packaged wheat flour, packaged cooking oil, and bulk wheat flour.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as pure beef, corn at the farmer level, red cayenne pepper, curly red chili, and bulk cooking oil decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red onion commodity increased the highest by Rp2,924 (6.75%) to Rp46,265 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of red cayenne pepper decreased the sharpest by Rp3,663 (8.77%) to Rp38,111 per kg.

9. Garlic Bulb: Rp31.351 per kg (up 0.36%)
10. Curly Red Chili: Rp29.621 per kg (down 5.49%)
11. Broiler Eggs: Rp27.635 per kg (up 0.83%)
