Daily Prices of Curly Red Chilies at Traditional Markets in North Sumatra Province Have Fallen 40.54% in the Last Month

Based on the National Strategic Food Price Information Center dashboard at 07:44 WIB, the daily price of curly red chilies in North Sumatra's traditional markets has dropped by Rp 3,050 compared to the previous day, reaching Rp 27,350.

Compared to the last month, the daily price of curly red chilies in traditional markets has decreased from Rp 46,000.

Meanwhile, the daily price of curly red chilies in traditional markets in North Sumatra over the past three months has fallen by 46.48%. According to historical food price records in the PIHPS price panel, the daily price of curly red chilies in North Sumatra's traditional markets was traded at Rp 51,100.

The highest recorded increase in the daily price of curly red chilies in the province's traditional markets was in June 2019, with a 52.74% increase, while the lowest decrease was recorded in July 2017, at -32.13%.

According to PIHPS monitoring, the prices of nine basic commodities (sembako) in North Sumatra today show 11 commodities decreased and 14 increased. The basic commodities with price decreases are Red Chili, Large Red Chili, Chili, Curly Red Chili, Green Chili, Medium Quality II Rice, Red Onion, Medium-Sized Red Onion, Garlic, Medium-Sized Garlic, and Red Chili.

The following are the prices of nine basic commodities monitored by PIHPS today compared to the price changes over the past month in North Sumatra province:

7. Cooking Oil per Kg Rp 20,950 per kg (up 1.45%)
8. Curly Red Chili per Kg Rp 44,400 per kg (down 3.37%)
9. Green Chili per Kg Rp 48,350 per kg (down 9.29%)
10. Medium Quality I Rice per Kg Rp 13,950 per kg (up 0.36%)
11. Premium Quality Sugar per Kg Rp 18,450 per kg (up 3.36%)
