East Java Food Price Update Today: Chili and Sugar Prices Rise (Monday, December 25, 2023)

The prices of several food commodities in East Java today are observed to be higher compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Monday (25/12/2023) at 10:22 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 13 commodities increased in price and 7 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include dry soybean (import), packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), skipjack tuna, farmer-level corn, and red chili peppers.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as Indian mackerel, garlic bulbs, curly red chilies, bulk cooking oil, and broiler chicken decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Skipjack tuna experienced the highest price increase of Rp1,270 (3.96%), reaching Rp33,330 per kg. Curly red chilies saw the lowest price decrease of Rp6,980 (11.68%), reaching Rp52,790 per kg.

6. Skipjack Tuna: Rp33,330 per kg (up 3.96%)
7. Garlic Bulbs: Rp32,860 per kg (down 1.23%)
8. Broiler Chicken: Rp31,930 per kg (down 0.62%)
