Curly Red Chili Prices in Traditional Markets for the Period April 2025-2026

Quoting from the National Strategic Food Price Information Center dashboard at 11:44 WIB, the daily curly red chili price in traditional markets of West Papua Province has not changed compared to the previous day, nor in the last week.

Compared to the price 30 days ago, the development of daily curly red chili prices in traditional markets has decreased from the previously recorded Rp81.25 thousand.

Meanwhile, the daily curly red chili price in traditional markets in West Papua over the last three months has seen a 33.33% decrease. According to historical food price records from the PIHPS price panel, the daily curly red chili price in traditional markets of West Papua Province is traded at Rp67.5 thousand.

The record increase in daily curly red chili prices in traditional markets in this province was previously recorded in December 2018 with an increase of 84.62%, and the lowest decrease was recorded in December 2018 with a decrease of -54.17%.

According to PIHPS monitoring, the price of nine staple foods (sembako) today in West Papua recorded 12 commodities decreasing and 14 others increasing. Sembako with decreasing prices are Fresh Layer Chicken Eggs, Green Bird's Eye Chili, Chicken Meat, Fresh Broiler Chicken Meat, Bird's Eye Chili, Grade II Low-Quality Rice, Curly Red Chili, Chicken Eggs, Red Chili, Red Bird's Eye Chili, Grade I Low-Quality Rice and Large Red Chili.

8. Green Bird's Eye Chili per Kg Rp74 thousand per kg (down 4.52%)
9. Chicken Meat per Kg Rp40.9 thousand per kg (down 11.76%)
10. Fresh Broiler Chicken Meat per Kg Rp40.9 thousand per kg (down 11.76%)
