Latest Food Prices in South Sumatra: Prices of Chili Peppers, Eggs, and Beef Down

The prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra today are observed to be lower than yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Thursday (3/4/2025) at 14.04 WIB, out of 23 commodities, 9 commodities increased and 13 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include mackerel, medium-grain rice, garlic bulbs, milkfish, and broiler chicken.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as granulated sugar, red chili peppers, large red chilies, bulk wheat flour, and dry soybean (import) decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Shallots saw the highest price increase of Rp1,856 (4.48%) to Rp43,327 per kg. Meanwhile, curly red chilies experienced the largest price drop of Rp5,394 (8.63%) to Rp57,106 per kg.
