Today's Food Prices in D.I Yogyakarta: Salt and Rice Prices Decrease

Prices of several food commodities in D.I Yogyakarta today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

According to data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Thursday (August 21, 2025) at 14:17 WIB, out of 23 commodities, 9 increased and 13 decreased.

Commodities with increased prices are SPHP rice, red cayenne pepper, bulk cooking oil, bulk wheat flour, and dried soybeans (imported).

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as milkfish, consumption salt, medium rice, skipjack tuna, and premium rice decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of red cayenne pepper surged the highest by Rp926 (3.79%) to Rp25,364 per kg. Meanwhile, packaged wheat flour price dropped the most by Rp477 (4.06%) to Rp11,273 per kg.
