Latest Food Prices in East Java: Cooking Oil Up, Chilies Down (Wednesday, March 6, 2024)

The prices of several food commodities in East Java today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Wednesday (6/3/2024) at 09.06 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 11 commodities increased and 9 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include packaged simple cooking oil, iodized fine salt, medium rice, pure beef, and packaged wheat flour (non-bulk).

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as farmer-level corn, milkfish, bulk cooking oil, skipjack tuna, and red chili peppers decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Dry soybean (import) commodities saw the highest increase of Rp420 (3.36%) to Rp12,920 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of farmer-level corn decreased the most, by Rp700 (9.0%) to Rp7,080 per kg.

9. Skipjack Tuna: Rp30,020 per kg (down 1.73%)
