Today's Food Prices (23/12) in Indonesia: Bird's Eye Chili Up, Red Chili Down

Prices of several food commodities in Indonesia today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the Ministry of Trade's Basic Necessities Market Monitoring System (SP2KP Kemendag) on Tuesday (23/12/2025) at 14:19 WIB, out of 16 commodities, 5 commodities increased and 4 commodities decreased.

Commodities with price increases include Minyakita cooking oil, Honan garlic, shallots, beef hind shank, and red bird's eye chili.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as broiler chicken meat, large red chili, broiler chicken eggs, and curly red chili decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of red bird's eye chili saw the highest jump of Rp500 (0.7%) to Rp71,500 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of curly red chili experienced the deepest drop of Rp1,600 (3.0%) to Rp51,700 per kg.

Below is the complete list of prices for 16 food commodities in Indonesia according to SP2KP Kemendag on December 23, 2025 at 14:19 WIB.

2. Red Bird's Eye Chili: Rp71,500 per kg (up 0.7%)
3. Large Red Chili: Rp51,700 per kg (down 2.45%)
4. Curly Red Chili: Rp51,700 per kg (down 3.0%)
5. Shallots: Rp51,000 per kg (up 0.59%)
6. Broiler Chicken Meat: Rp41,600 per kg (down 0.24%)
7. Honan Garlic: Rp38,700 per kg (up 0.52%)
8. Broiler Chicken Eggs: Rp33,800 per kg (down 0.29%)
9. Premium Packaged Palm Cooking Oil: Rp22,300 per liter (stable)
10. Bulk Granulated Sugar: Rp18,200 per kg (stable)
11. Bulk Palm Cooking Oil: Rp18,100 per liter (stable)
12. Minyakita Cooking Oil: Rp16,800 per liter (up 0.6%)
13. Premium Rice: Rp16,300 per kg (stable)
14. Imported Soybeans: Rp14,700 per kg (stable)
