Latest Food Prices in West Java: Chili Prices Up, Onions Down

Prices of several food commodities in West Java today are observed to be lower than yesterday.

According to data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Thursday (August 14, 2025) at 10:57 AM WIB, out of 24 commodities, 7 commodities increased and 16 decreased.

Commodities with increased prices include consumption sugar, pure beef, bulk wheat flour, red cayenne pepper, and dried soybean seeds (imported).

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as red onion, premium rice, consumption salt, packaged wheat flour, and mackerel decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red cayenne pepper saw the highest increase of Rp670 (1.73%) to Rp39,361 per kg. Meanwhile, red onion prices experienced the sharpest decline of Rp1,917 (3.86%) to Rp47,800 per kg.
