Today's Food Prices December 31 in Indonesia: Chili Prices Drop

The prices of several food ingredients in Indonesia today were observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the Ministry of Trade's Basic Needs Market Monitoring System (SP2KP Kemendag) on Wednesday (31/12/2025) at 14:20 WIB, out of 16 commodities, 4 commodities increased and 5 commodities decreased.

Commodities with increased prices were hindquarter beef, broiler chicken meat, bulk palm cooking oil, and broiler chicken eggs.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as shallots, red cayenne pepper, large red chili, curly red chili, and premium packaged palm cooking oil decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Bulk palm cooking oil showed the highest jump of Rp100 (0.55%) to Rp18,200 per liter. Red cayenne pepper prices experienced the deepest drop of Rp1,100 (1.64%) to Rp66,000 per kg.

Below is the complete list of prices for 16 food ingredients in Indonesia according to SP2KP Kemendag on December 31, 2025, at 14:20 WIB.

2. Red Cayenne Pepper: Rp66,000 per kg (down 1.64%)
3. Shallots: Rp50,500 per kg (down 0.2%)
4. Curly Red Chili: Rp48,800 per kg (down 0.41%)
5. Large Red Chili: Rp48,100 per kg (down 1.23%)
6. Broiler Chicken Meat: Rp41,700 per kg (up 0.24%)
7. Honan Garlic: Rp39,100 per kg (stable)
8. Broiler Chicken Eggs: Rp34,000 per kg (up 0.29%)
9. Premium Packaged Palm Cooking Oil: Rp22,300 per liter (down 0.45%)
10. Bulk Granulated Sugar: Rp18,300 per kg (stable)
11. Bulk Palm Cooking Oil: Rp18,200 per liter (up 0.55%)
12. Minyakita: Rp16,800 per liter (stable)
13. Premium Rice: Rp16,300 per kg (stable)
14. Imported Soybeans: Rp14,700 per kg (stable)
15. Medium Rice: Rp14,500 per kg (stable)
