Food Prices Saturday (November 1) in West Sumatra: Chicken and Onion Prices Rise

Prices of several food commodities in West Sumatra today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Saturday (November 1, 2025) at 08.01 AM WIB, out of 24 commodities, 12 commodities increased and 12 commodities decreased.

Commodities with price increases are bulk cooking oil, red onion, consumption sugar, curly red chili, and broiler chicken meat.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as milkfish, corn at the farmer level, medium rice, garlic bulbs, and bulk wheat flour decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Skipjack tuna fish commodity surged the highest by Rp17,491 (41.15%) to Rp60,000 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of large red chili dropped most sharply by Rp60,250 (100.0%) to Rp0 per kg.
