Current Food Prices in West Sumatra: Onions Up, Chilies Down

The prices of several food commodities in West Sumatra today are observed to be higher than yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Saturday (7/12/2024) at 15.26 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 11 commodities increased in price and 8 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include shallots, granulated sugar, medium rice, chicken eggs, and dry soybean (import).

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as red chilies, curly red chilies, bulk cooking oil, simple packaged cooking oil, and SPHP rice decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of mackerel fish increased the most, by Rp2,040 (4.39%) to Rp48,490 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of curly red chilies decreased the most, by Rp430 (1.53%) to Rp27,670 per kg.
