Local White Sugar Prices in Traditional Markets of West Java Province Increased by 0.27% in the Last Month

Based on the latest data from the National Strategic Food Price Information Center panel, the daily price of local granulated sugar in traditional markets in West Java Province is recorded at Rp18,400. This price remains unchanged compared to the previous day and the last week.

Compared to the price 30 days ago, the daily price of local granulated sugar in traditional markets has increased from Rp18,350.

Meanwhile, the daily price of local granulated sugar in traditional markets in West Java over the past three months has increased by 2.51% from the previous price of Rp17,950.

The highest price increase for daily local granulated sugar in traditional markets in this province was previously recorded in March 2020 with an increase of 5.35%, and the lowest decrease was recorded in January 2021 with a decrease of -4.73%.

According to PIHPS monitoring, the prices of nine basic commodities (sembako) today in West Java show seven commodities decreased and 19 others increased. The basic commodities with price decreases are: Daily Chicken Eggs in Traditional Markets by Province, Daily Large Red Chili in Traditional Markets by Province, Daily Red Chili in Traditional Markets by Province, Daily Fresh Chicken Eggs in Traditional Markets by Province, Daily Chicken Meat in Traditional Markets by Province, Daily Fresh Chicken Meat in Traditional Markets by Province, and Daily Green Bird's Eye Chili in Traditional Markets by Province.

The following are the prices of nine basic commodities monitored by PIHPS today compared to price developments over the past month in West Java Province:

5. Large Red Chili per Kg daily in Traditional Markets by Province Rp53,300 (down 8.65%)
6. Shallots per Kg daily in Traditional Markets by Province Rp55,500 (up 50.2%)
7. Red Chili per Kg daily in Traditional Markets by Province Rp56,500 (down 1.65%)
8. Medium-sized Garlic per Kg Rp48,750 (up 7.85%)
