Food Prices in Aceh Friday (1/8): Red Chili Prices Rise, Buffalo Meat Falls

Prices of several food commodities in Aceh today were observed to be higher compared to yesterday.

According to data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Friday (August 1, 2025) at 12:34 PM WIB, out of 24 commodities, 11 saw price increases and 10 saw decreases.

Commodities with price increases include broiler eggs, curly red chili, shallots, unpeeled garlic, and bulk wheat flour.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as broiler meat, premium rice, bulk cooking oil, consumption salt, and mackerel fish decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The large red chili commodity surged the highest by Rp2,000 (7.14%) to Rp30,000 per kg. Fresh local buffalo meat prices, on the other hand, fell the sharpest by Rp2,286 (1.54%) to Rp145,714 per kg.
