The daily price of medium-quality grade II rice in traditional markets in South Sumatra Province for the past month remains at Rp15,600.

The latest information from the National Strategic Food Price Information Center panel shows that the daily price of medium grade II rice in traditional markets in South Sumatra Province is recorded at Rp15,600. This price is unchanged from the previous day, and has remained consistent over the past week.

The price of medium grade II rice in traditional markets has also remained unchanged over the past month, remaining at Rp15,600.

However, over the past three months, the daily price of medium grade II rice in traditional markets in South Sumatra has increased by 2.63% from the previous price of Rp15,200.

The highest recorded increase in the daily price of medium grade II rice in traditional markets in this province was in August 2021, with an increase of 11.11%, while the lowest decrease was also recorded in August 2021, at -10%.

According to PIHPS monitoring, today's prices of nine basic commodities (sembako) in South Sumatra show five commodities decreased and 18 increased. The basic commodities that decreased in price are: Lower Grade I Rice, Rice, Grade 1 Beef, Lower Grade II Rice, and Medium Grade I Rice.
