South Sumatra Food Price Update Today: Chili Prices Up, Fish Prices Down (Monday, December 4, 2023)

The price of several food commodities in South Sumatra today is observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Monday (4/12/2023) at 10:40 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 5 commodities increased and 13 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price are chicken eggs, tongkol fish, shallots, milkfish, and red chilies.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as curly red chilies, bulk wheat flour, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), medium rice, and garlic cloves decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chilies saw the highest price increase, jumping Rp11,460 (14.33%) to Rp91,430 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of mackerel experienced the lowest decrease, dropping Rp880 (2.39%) to Rp35,910 per kg.
