The Ministry of Finance (Ministry of Finance) has allocated Rp966.8 million for the procurement of electric vehicles for all echelon I civil servants (PNS) or State Civil Apparatus (ASN). This allocated amount is the maximum limit.
This budget provision is stipulated in Minister of Finance Regulation (PMK) Number 49 of 2023 concerning Input Cost Standards for the 2024 Fiscal Year. This regulation was enacted on May 3, 2023.
Echelon II officials are allocated a maximum of Rp746.11 million for electric vehicle procurement.
Meanwhile, office operational electric vehicles will receive an allocation of Rp430.08 million. Other PNS positions will receive electric motorcycles worth Rp28 million.

Sri Mulyani, Minister of Finance, has budgeted for the procurement of electric cars for state officials and echelon I and II PNS officials.
Below those ranks, there is no provision for electric car procurement, except for office operational electric vehicles.
As reported by *CNN Indonesia*, in addition to procurement costs, there are also annual maintenance costs for PNS electric vehicles. For state officials, the annual maintenance cost for electric cars is Rp14.84 million.
The annual maintenance cost for electric cars for echelon I officials is Rp11.10 million. Slightly less, the maintenance cost for electric cars for echelon II officials is Rp10.99 million per year.
Then, the annual maintenance cost for office operational electric vehicles is Rp10.46 million and for electric motorcycles, Rp3.2 million per year.
"Specifically for the procurement of official vehicles in the form of battery-based electric motor vehicles (KBLBB), this does not include shipping costs and the installation of charging facilities. The procurement of KBLBB must take into account government policies regarding KBLBB facilities," explains PMK 49/2023.
