Toyota, Indonesia's Best-Selling Car Brand in February 2026

According to data from the Indonesian Automotive Industry Association (Gaikindo), the volume of car sales from factories to dealers (wholesale) in the domestic market reached 81,159 units in February 2026.

The volume grew by 12% compared to February 2025 (year-on-year), when sales were 72,356 units.

During this period, Toyota became the best-selling car brand with sales of 22,522 units, equivalent to 28% of total national car wholesale sales.

Still from Japanese manufacturers, the next ranks are filled by Daihatsu and Suzuki, which each recorded wholesale sales of 13,452 units and 9,659 units respectively.

Here is the list of the 10 car brands with the highest wholesale sales in the domestic market in February 2026:

1. Toyota: 22,522 units
2. Daihatsu: 13,452 units
3. Suzuki: 9,659 units
4. Mitsubishi Motors: 7,008 units
5. Honda: 5,385 units
6. BYD: 4,653 units
7. Jaecoo: 3,005 units
8. Mitsubishi Fuso: 2,506 units
9. Isuzu: 1,948 units
10. Hyundai: 1,741 units

Gaikindo also noted that there was only one manufacturer that did not record any sales at all during this period, namely Maxus, a Chinese brand that entered the Indonesian market since 2024.
