Chicken Meat Prices in Traditional Markets March 2025-2026 Period

Based on the latest information from the National Strategic Food Price Information Center (PIHPS) panel, the daily chicken meat price in traditional markets of Papua province is recorded at Rp42,95 thousand. This price is Rp150 higher than the previous day.

Compared to the price in the last month, the development of daily chicken meat prices in traditional markets has decreased from the previously recorded Rp43,2 thousand.

Meanwhile, the daily chicken meat price in traditional markets in Papua has dropped 1.6% in the last three months. According to historical food price records from the PIHPS price panel, the daily chicken meat price in traditional markets of Papua province was traded at Rp43,65 thousand.

The record increase in daily chicken meat prices in traditional markets of this province was previously recorded in August 2023 with an increase of 24.93%, and the lowest decrease was recorded in August 2023 with a decrease of -19.96%.

According to PIHPS monitoring, today's prices of nine staple foods (sembako) in Papua show that seven commodities have decreased and 13 others have increased. The staple foods with price decreases are Curly Red Chili, Large Red Chili, Garlic, Red Chili, Rice, Medium Quality I Rice and Medium Quality II Rice.
