East Java Food Price Update Today: Onion, Sugar, and Oil Prices Rise (Monday, April 8, 2024)

The prices of several food commodities in East Java today are monitored to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on food price panel data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) on Monday (8/4/2024) at 13.15 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 17 commodities increased and 3 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include simple packaged cooking oil, milkfish, granulated sugar, medium rice, and iodized fine salt.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as farmer-level corn, bulk cooking oil, and dry soybean (import) decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of curly red chilies surged the highest, up by Rp3,740 (10.37%) to Rp39,800 per kg. The price of farmer-level corn decreased the most, down by Rp70 (1.02%) to Rp6,810 per kg.

8. Red Chili Peppers: Rp31,980 per kg (up 2.4%)
9. Skipjack Tuna: Rp31,100 per kg (up 0.23%)
10. Broiler Chicken Eggs: Rp27,280 per kg (up 0.4%)
