Latest Central Java Food Prices: Chili Prices Up, Onion Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in Central Java today are observed to be lower than yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Tuesday (13/8/2024) at 11:55 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 8 commodities increased in price and 11 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include premium rice, kembung fish, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), broiler chicken, and dry soybean (import).

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as bulk cooking oil, simple packaged cooking oil, fine iodized salt, granulated sugar, and broiler chicken eggs decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chili prices surged the highest by Rp820 (1.41%) to Rp58,900 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of shallots decreased the most by Rp320 (1.44%) to Rp21,960 per kg.
