Daily Price of Super Quality Rice at Modern Markets, March 2024-2025

Based on the National Strategic Food Price Information Center dashboard at 08:23 WIB, the daily price of Super I quality rice in North Sumatra's modern markets showed no change compared to the previous day, mirroring the trend of the past week.

Over the past month, however, the daily price of Super I quality rice in modern markets has increased from the previous record of Rp15,250 per kg.

In the last three months, the daily price of Super I quality rice in North Sumatra's modern markets has increased by 4.64% from the previous record of Rp15,100 per kg.

The highest recorded increase in the daily price of Super I quality rice in the province's modern markets was in February 2017, with a 50% increase, while the lowest decrease was recorded in January 2017, at -33.33%.

According to the PIHPS monitoring, today's prices of nine basic commodities (sembako) in North Sumatra show three commodities decreased and 23 increased. The commodities with price decreases are Fresh Layer Eggs, Fresh Broiler Chicken, and Chicken Eggs.

The following are the prices of nine basic commodities monitored by PIHPS today compared to the price changes over the past month in North Sumatra Province:

9. Large Red Chili per kg: Rp93,200 (up 1.8%)
10. Branded Packaged Cooking Oil 2 per kg: Rp21,850 (up 4.3%)
11. Fresh Layer Eggs per kg: Rp38,300 (down 1.03%)
12. Garlic per kg: Rp48,600 (up 22.26%)
13. Medium II Quality Rice per kg: Rp14,900 (up 4.93%)
