Latest Indonesian Food Prices: Chili Up, Salt Down (Sunday, March 10, 2024)

The prices of several food commodities in Indonesia today are observed to be higher than yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Sunday (10/3/2024) at 13.37 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 13 commodities increased in price and 7 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include pure beef, red chilies, mackerel, curly red chilies, and granulated sugar.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as medium-grain rice, chicken eggs, bulk cooking oil, milkfish, and farmer-level corn decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Curly red chilies saw the highest price increase, jumping Rp1,200 (1.9%) to Rp64,220 per kg. Farmer-level corn experienced the lowest price decrease, falling Rp50 (0.59%) to Rp8,360 per kg.
