Indonesia Food Price Update Today: Chili Prices Drop (Friday, March 29, 2024)

Prices of several food commodities in Indonesia today are observed to be lower than yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) price panel on Friday (29/3/2024) at 14:26 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 8 commodities increased and 12 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include shallots, garlic bulbs, dry soybean (import), skipjack tuna, and Indian mackerel.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as red chilies, medium rice, curly red chilies, bulk wheat flour, and packaged wheat flour (non-bulk) decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of corn at the farmer level saw the highest increase of Rp130 (1.64%) to Rp8,040 per kg. The price of milkfish saw the lowest decrease of Rp210 (0.63%) to Rp33,190 per kg.
