Today's Food Prices (09/12) in South Sumatra: Chili and Onion Prices Rise

Prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the Ministry of Trade's Basic Needs Market Monitoring System (SP2KP Kemendag) on Tuesday (9/12/2025) at 18.26 WIB, out of 16 commodities, 2 commodities increased and 2 commodities decreased.

Commodities with increased prices are red bird's eye chili and Honan garlic.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as curly red chili and red onion decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red bird's eye chili recorded the highest increase of Rp1,250 (1.96%) to Rp64,917 per kg. Meanwhile, curly red chili prices decreased the most by Rp834 (1.25%) to Rp65,833 per kg.

6. Broiler Chicken Meat: Rp38,250 per kg (stable)
7. Honan Garlic: Rp35,167 per kg (up 1.2%)
8. Broiler Chicken Eggs: Rp28,250 per kg (stable)
9. Premium Packaged Palm Cooking Oil: Rp20,000 per liter (stable)
10. Bulk Palm Cooking Oil: Rp18,000 per liter (stable)
11. Bulk Granulated Sugar: Rp17,000 per kg (stable)
