Food Prices Today, January 13, in East Java: Onions Up, Red Chili Down

Prices of several food commodities in East Java today were observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the Ministry of Trade's Staple Food Market Monitoring System (SP2KP Kemendag) on Tuesday (13/1/2026) at 17:13 WIB, out of 16 commodities, 4 increased and 5 decreased.

Commodities with price increases include large red chili, Honan garlic, bulk sugar, and red onion.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as broiler eggs, curly red chili, imported soybeans, red bird's eye chili, and broiler chicken meat decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Honan garlic saw the highest increase of Rp450 (1.39%) to Rp32,717 per kg. Meanwhile, curly red chili prices experienced the deepest decrease of Rp1,000 (3.42%) to Rp28,214 per kg.
