Today's Food Prices in West Java: Cooking Oil Up, Salt Down

The prices of several food commodities in West Java today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Thursday (8/8/2024) at 08.39 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 10 commodities increased and 9 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include broiler chicken, premium rice, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), chicken eggs, and pure beef.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as farmer-level corn, dry soybean (import), mackerel, red chilies, and iodized fine salt decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Packaged cooking oil saw the highest price increase, jumping by Rp470 (2.71%) to Rp17,810 per liter. Iodized fine salt experienced the sharpest price drop, falling by Rp890 (8.32%) to Rp9,810 per kg.
