Food Prices Today in Indonesia: Red Chili and Onion Prices Rise

Prices of several food commodities in Indonesia today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the Ministry of Trade's Staple Food Market Monitoring System (SP2KP Kemendag) on Friday (November 21, 2025) at 2:10 PM WIB, out of 16 commodities, 5 increased and 2 decreased.

Commodities with price increases include red bird's eye chili, Honan garlic, broiler chicken meat, curly red chili, and large red chili.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as beef hind quarter and red onions decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Broiler chicken meat saw the highest jump of Rp200 (0.51%) to Rp39,700 per kg. Red onions, however, experienced the sharpest drop of Rp100 (0.24%) to Rp41,400 per kg.

2. Large Red Chili: Rp57,300 per kg (up 0.35%)
3. Curly Red Chili: Rp54,100 per kg (up 0.37%)
4. Red Bird's Eye Chili: Rp47,100 per kg (up 0.21%)
5. Red Onion: Rp41,400 per kg (down 0.24%)
6. Broiler Chicken Meat: Rp39,700 per kg (up 0.51%)
7. Honan Garlic: Rp38,300 per kg (up 0.26%)
8. Broiler Chicken Eggs: Rp32,400 per kg (stable)
9. Premium Packaged Palm Cooking Oil: Rp22,300 per liter (stable)
10. Bulk Granulated Sugar: Rp18,100 per kg (stable)
11. Bulk Palm Cooking Oil: Rp18,000 per liter (stable)
12. Minyakita: Rp16,700 per liter (stable)
13. Premium Rice: Rp16,300 per kg (stable)
14. Imported Soybeans: Rp14,800 per kg (stable)
