Current Food Prices in West Java: Red Chili Price Rises, Buffalo Meat Falls

Prices of several food commodities in West Java today were observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Sunday (October 19, 2025) at 08.44 AM WIB, out of 24 commodities, there were 8 commodities with increased prices and 16 commodities with decreased prices.

Commodities with increased prices include large red chili, premium rice, medium rice, skipjack tuna, and bulk cooking oil.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as packaged wheat flour, packaged cooking oil, garlic bulbs, bulk wheat flour, and SPHP rice decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of large red chili surged the highest by Rp4,192 (7.18%) to Rp62,591 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of frozen buffalo meat (imported from abroad) dropped the sharpest by Rp105,000 (100.0%) to Rp0 per kg.
