Today's Food Prices in West Sumatra on December 9: Chili and Onion Prices Increase

Prices of several food commodities in West Sumatra today were observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the Ministry of Trade's Basic Necessity Market Monitoring System (SP2KP Kemendag) on Tuesday (December 9, 2025) at 6:15 PM WIB, out of 16 commodities, 3 increased and 2 decreased.

The commodities with increased prices are broiler chicken meat, red cayenne pepper, and shallots.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as Honan garlic and curly red chili decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red cayenne pepper rose the highest by Rp5,111 (6.65%) to Rp81,944 per kg. The price of curly red chili fell the sharpest by Rp2,000 (2.75%) to Rp70,667 per kg.
