Thursday's (8/8) Food Prices in Central Java: Salt Up, Onions Down

The prices of several food commodities in Central Java today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) price panel on Thursday (8/8/2024) at 11:56 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 4 commodities increased and 17 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price are dry soybean (import), bulk wheat flour, pure beef, and fine iodized salt.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as medium rice, granulated sugar, skipjack tuna, bulk cooking oil, and packaged wheat flour (non-bulk) decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Bulk wheat flour experienced the highest price increase of Rp120 (1.3%) to Rp9,380 per kg. Shallots saw the sharpest price drop of Rp1,410 (6.08%) to Rp21,770 per kg.
