Food Prices Tuesday (16/9) in West Sumatra: Egg and Salt Prices Drop

Prices of several food commodities in West Sumatra today were observed to decrease compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Tuesday (16/9/2025) at 3:05 PM WIB, out of 24 commodities, 8 commodities increased and 13 commodities decreased.

Commodities with increased prices are large red chili, bulk wheat flour, packaged wheat flour, bulk cooking oil, and red bird''s eye chili.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as broiler chicken eggs, fresh local buffalo meat, imported dried soybeans, garlic, and corn at the farmer level decreased compared to yesterday''s prices.

The price of large red chili jumped the highest by Rp1,917 (3.0%) to Rp65,917 per kg. Meanwhile, mackerel prices fell the deepest by Rp1,071 (1.92%) to Rp54,844 per kg.
